Got it home and started going through it changing fluids filters etc. Fuel filters were wrong. Than dad noticed the PTO switches were different than one we had rented before. Went on tractor house and started looking at pictures, and I'm thinking we ended up getting a 1998 model. Which after reading on here is one to shy away from.

Jul 26, 2011 - Location: Logansport, Louisiana. I am trying to figure out what year, model, & serial number my New Holland tractor. On the right side.
My big problem is we cant find any serial numbers. According to the book, there should be one under the hood. That one is partially torn off, cant read the serial number.

Book also says it should be stamped into the front casting. Not there either. Anybody know vin locations for early tv 140??? Have not talked to the dealer yet. Want to make sure we are right before we go have a talk.
